What is Undercover Tourist?
Undercover Tourist is a website that offers “authentic attraction tickets at a discounted price, as well as planning tips” for families planning Orlando vacations. I have used their site for planning purposes (they have a great crowd calendar!) but this was the first time I used it to book our hotel and car during our Orlando stay. I was so excited to save money on our Orlando family vacation stay and car rental, and I made a “Disney Bucket List” resort come true.
We love visiting the Orlando theme parks and resorts but there was one resort that has been on our list at Walt Disney World that we have not had a chance to visit: Art of Animation. The Art of Animation Resort is a value resort that is themed to different Disney animated films.
We decided to use the Undercover Tourist Disney savings to price out a few nights at Art of Animation. Undercover Tourist saved us $202.51 on our hotel room alone!!
I love that there are no hidden fees when you get to your cart. The price you see is the price you get! When booking with them you also receive deep discounts on car rentals as an added bonus. We rented the car through them and saved over $400 on our total booking!
Update: This was a great deal for our family and we had a blast at Art of Animation. I highly recommend running the numbers to see if Undercover Tourist can save you money on your next Walt Disney Vacation.

Undercover Tourist Tickets
If you are looking to purchase discounted theme park tickets Undercover Tourist has you covered. We didn’t need tickets for this visit but family members that were meeting us did. They purchased Universal Orlando tickets and saved $100 off the gate ticket price. The tickets were delivered by email and can be printed at home.
Undercover Tourist has discount attraction tickets for Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, LEGOLAND Florida and Los Angeles and San Diego attractions. Typically the more days you purchase the larger the discount. I do not suggest purchasing one day tickets because they were more than purchasing directly from the theme parks website.
One of the things I was nervous about for purchasing our Disney World tickets is if they would be connected to our MagicBands and My Disney Experience account. I wanted to make sure all my purchases were as seamless as if I booked through the Walt Disney World website. As soon as our reservations were booked through Undercover Tourist I was able to connect them to my plans.
I logged into My Disney Experience and added my reservation number that I received immediately. As a resort guest, we were eligible for Magic Bands – just like when we book from the Disney site.
The exception to this is if you are purchasing a Disney Dining plan. If you are planning on doing the Dining plan you need to purchase a package through the Walt Disney World website.
Our Undercover Tourist Review: 4 Reasons We Would Use it Again
I think saving money is the number one reason for anyone traveling with a family. As you add tickets and accommodations to your cart it automatically shows you the amount you are saving. I compared this to the Disney website and the prices were accurate.
The amount of money you save can be used to go to a great restaurant or to purchase an extra day at the park. You can even take the money you save and start a travel savings account for your next family vacation.
Tip: Be sure to check prices on Undercover Tourist and the Walt Disney World website. There are times when you may not save so always do your research.
It’s Super Easy to Use
Using Undercover Tourist website is so easy. Everything is there for you and the FAQ’s page has straightforward answers to any of your questions. I love that all of my concerns with linking my reservations were easy to solve. During the entire process, it was easy to book and compare prices.
Works with My Disney Experience
One of the best things about visiting Walt Disney World is the magic when you are there. It is like stepping into another world. You forget your day to day life and fall into the fun and imagination that Walt Disney World offers. The last thing you want to worry about is finding tickets and reservation. My Disney Experience App makes it so much easier. All reservations you make on Undercover Tourist are connected and your Magic Band is connected too.

They offer discounted tickets to all the major Orlando theme parks as well as other attractions in the Orlando area. Often with different promotions like buy 2, get 2 free. The tickets are then delivered to your door or printed at home. They are not voucher tickets either.
The tickets you purchase from Undercover Tourist are real tickets that can be used to make FastPass+ at Walt Disney World and are ready to be used at all the Orlando theme parks. Check out the promotions and deals!
If you have been reading my blog you know that I love the planning process. I like being prepared when I visit the theme parks. Undercover Tourist has easy to follow planning guides for visiting the parks. The crowd calendar will help you pick what days you should visit each park depending on the expected crowd levels. I always use this when planning our week and it works!!
Using Undercover Tourist for Disney saved us money that we could put towards our next visit! It was easy to use and seamless to connect to my Disney account. I continue to use it to check the best price and help us stay on our travel budget for all our Orlando vacations.
