Be brave. You hear this all the time and it can mean different things in different situations. I decided it was time to be brave and face my fear of heights. I was not jumping off bridges or doing anything extreme but I was stepping out of my comfort zone by doing the Sky High Adventure Park at the Holiday Valley Resort.

As you enter the Hershey Lodge the first thing you notice is the smell of chocolate that fills the lobby. Then you realize this is no ordinary place. The Hershey Lodge is full of family fun activities, restaurants, as well as a waterpark that is perfect for the entire family. We partnered with the Hershey Lodge to enjoy a spring break weekend getaway and it was just what our family needed.

Family vacations can get expensive and if you are like me you have to figure out ways to save money to make it happen. I love to travel but my budget does not always allow for the amount of travel I would like to do. To make some of the little trips happen and still be able to do our big trips I like to find fun ways to be as frugal as possible. This allows us to take an extra weekend trip or day trip. I try to make it fun for the family too! Use my tips to help you save money on your family vacation.
Family traditions are so important to me. Some of them are big like annual vacation but some of them are small. We do special things as a family throughout the year to bond and connect. One of our favorite family traditions are Mystery Days. Mystery Days are basically a full day of fun activities. The best part is that they are a mystery!! Every stop is a surprise for the kids. My husband and I plan the itinerary and don’t give any hints. Mystery Days are so great because they are an easy family tradition that you can start this year.
Pittsburgh is one of our favorite weekend getaways because there are so many things to do in Pittsburgh with kids. They have great indoor and outdoor activities, amusement parks, and zoos and museums. It is a great weekend getaway from our home in Rochester, New York and we love to visit every year.
