The kids loved it! Nestled among beautiful landscape in Varysburg, New York, you will find Hidden Valley Animal Adventure. A unique and family fun animal experience where you can feed water buffalo and get close with a camel. My family was invited to visit and we were so happy we did. It went beyond my expectations and it is a great place for families.
On my recent visit to the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, NY I was able to spend some one-on-one time with my son. Seneca Park Zoo is a great place for a few hours of quality time. I cherish the moments that I get to spend with my kids, especially as they get older. Time is going so fast and the one-on-one play dates are a great way to connect.
When you see Niagara Falls for the first time it is breathtaking but nothing is as amazing as seeing it up close while aboard the Maid of the Mist. The Maid of the Mist is located in New York State along the USA/Canadian border. It is about a 20 minute drive from Buffalo, New York. The Maid of the Mist is a family favorite that should be on everyone’s family travel bucket list.

Rochester has the Strong Museum of Play, Dinosaur BBQ and garbage plates. Now we have The Waffle Factory. Located outside of Rochester, NY in Webster, The Waffle Factory offers all types of waffle creations imaginable. It was a HUGE hit with my family!!
Corning, New York is a great place for a weekend getaway for families. It is a little under a 2 hour drive from Rochester, NY and there are a lot of activities to fill your day and relax with your family. Have you ever thought about visiting the Corning Museum of Glass with Kids? I’ve always wanted to but I wasn’t sure if it was kid friendly. I had also heard great things about their glass making classes. We decided to give it a try and planned a last minute weekend getaway to Corning, NY. I booked a Sandblasting class and planned on spending the day exploring the museum. Early Saturday morning we surprised the kids with a weekend getaway and some much needed quality family time.

The Strong Museum of Play is an amazing Children’s museum in Rochester, New York that offers interactive exhibits, a butterfly garden, and the Toy Hall of Fame. It boast the largest collection of toys in the world. We have lived in Rochester for six years now and one of our favorite things to do is spend Friday nights at the Strong Museum of Play. Our road trip to Myrtle Beach was full of many surprises and all the stops we added really made the trip fun and exciting.
