Be brave. You hear this all the time and it can mean different things in different situations. I decided it was time to be brave and face my fear of heights. I was not jumping off bridges or doing anything extreme but I was stepping out of my comfort zone by doing the Sky High Adventure Park at the Holiday Valley Resort.
Planning a girls’ trip weekend is a fun way to reconnect with your family and create lasting memories. We found a great location in the Inn at Holiday Valley. The Inn at Holiday Valley offers relaxation, swimming, and adventure that will make everyone happy on your next weekend getaway from Rochester.
You know it is a great family friendly destination when your kids say “we want to go again”…before your day is done. On our visit to Hidden Valley Animal Adventure that is exactly what happened. The kids loved it! Nestled among beautiful landscape in Varysburg, New York, you will find Hidden Valley Animal Adventure. A unique and family fun animal experience where you can feed water buffalo and get close with a camel. My family was invited to visit and we were so happy we did. It went beyond my expectations and it is a great place for families.
When you see Niagara Falls for the first time it is breathtaking but nothing is as amazing as seeing it up close while aboard the Maid of the Mist. The Maid of the Mist is located in New York State along the USA/Canadian border. It is about a 20 minute drive from Buffalo, New York. The Maid of the Mist is a family favorite that should be on everyone’s family travel bucket list.
Family traditions are so important to me. Some of them are big like annual vacation but some of them are small. We do special things as a family throughout the year to bond and connect. One of our favorite family traditions are Mystery Days. Mystery Days are basically a full day of fun activities. The best part is that they are a mystery!! Every stop is a surprise for the kids. My husband and I plan the itinerary and don’t give any hints. Mystery Days are so great because they are an easy family tradition that you can start this year.
Darien Lake is an amusement park between Rochester and Buffalo, NY that has tent camping, glamping, cabins, and RV Rentals. It also has the Darien Lake hotel, the Lodge on the Lake. We had an opportunity to spend a few days at the hotel in early summer and really enjoyed the convenience to the theme park.
It has been a while since we spent time in Buffalo and Niagara Falls so we decided to plan a quick day trip that was packed with lots of stops. There are so many family activities in Buffalo and Niagara Falls that it was difficult to fit it all in one day. We decided to spend the day seeing the sites and enjoying some great food along the way.
